Happy News

I entered a couple of projects for the Reminisce DT call and I saw on their blog today that I received an Honorable Mention.  Whoo Hoo, I thought that was pretty cool.  There was only 1 spot on their team, so I figure out of all the entries that were submitted; its cool my work was noticed.  This is the first time I have ever submitted my work to anything.  Even though I've been in this industry for a while, starting off with owning a scrapbook store, then a montly kit club -  I never had time or even thought about submitting anything, anywhere.  Now that I have some time on my hands though I think I might try again.  Anywho, I am happy with the news and thought I would share.

Some Fun Cards with Nikki Sivils

I just whipped up these little cards using Nikki Sivils "Cherry Cutie Cut-Ups."  These are great cards for that { All Ocassion } situation.  I am going to send them to friends just to catch up.  I have always preferred writing cards vs. calling.  I guess because I use the phone for work, I really dont like talking on the phone at home.  I do like sending cards though :)  I think it is much more personal.

I used some brads, ribbon, the cutie die cuts, Nikki's flags and her tabs.  I painted the tab then put triple thick on it (Nikki gave me that tip).  I used a couple of stamps and voila - quick and easy cards to send to friends and family.

Reminisce "Santa's Workshop" Album

I loved working on this Santa's Workshop Album using the reminisce paper.  I also got carried away and used some of the Christmastime collection too.  So as I promised yesterday I am posting some pictures of the "inside" of my album.  Unfortunately its gloomy here and I didnt get good light (boo hoo, I am crying on the inside).  But on the bright side,  the album turned out so cute I am very pleased with it.

OK, so I decided to add more excitement than I already have for my cutie patoodie album, and I want to pass my excitement on to you.  Please comment on my pages and I will add your name for some BLOG CANDY.  I will post the photos of the blog candy giveaways later, but why not get started early and send me some comments!!

Reminisce "Santa's Workshop"

Wanted to get in a Sneak Peekie of my latest project using the Reminisce "Santa's Workshop" collection.  This collection is so darn cute I want to bake it in a pie and put whipcream on top.  I have been wanting to make some more paper bag albums for a while and decided this was a good time.  I started making paper bag albums for classes years ago and they were always very popular - especially for gift giving.

I have also always worked with chipboard and fabric so got some energy and inspiration from the Santa's Workshop cutie papers and came up with this.

The cover is made of chipboard wrapped in the pretty Making a Snowman (Shimmer) paper.  I also took a piece of canvas fabric and painted/stamped on it, then put stickles and glimmer mist on it.  I placed a sticker border from the collection and a ribbon on top to hide the canvas edge.  Then I added the florals and a cute snowman layered sticker from the collection.

I have to get going, but I will post more pictures of the "inside pages" later on.

Under the Mistletoe

I made a another card to show you using the Pink Paislee collection.  I thought it would be a good gesture to bake some cookies and give them (along with a handmade card) to my neighbors.

Last Minute Christmas Cards

I still had a couple of people to send cards to - so this is what I made last night.

I used Pink Paislee's Mistletoe collection for my pattern paper.  Glitz stickles, distress stickles, bling from Mark Richards, rub ons from Making memories, poinsettias from irene's garden, and I made the felt tree.

New Angel In Town

You all know Heidi Swapp - she designed some great products for Advantus, then she started the House of 3 with co-founders Rhonda Farrer and Janet Hopkins.  Well it was just announced by Tattered Angels that Heidi will be working with them full time.  She is developing some new colors for them and some products to go along with the glimmer mist.

Here are her brand new colors being released at 2010 CHA.

I can't wait to get my hands on those colors!!!

Pumpkin Patch with Reminisce LAYOUT

Finished the 2nd page of my Layout using the Reminisce Autumn Forest collection.  I always do two-page layout, I know that a lot of people dont but I am so neurotic that everything has to match and it would make me crazy to open up my album to a page and not have both sides match.  I know I have my quirks, but alas the world would be very dull if everyone was the same.

Here are pics of my 2nd page.  Enjoy

Below is another picture of page 1 close up

Pumpkin Patch with Reminisce

Thought I would show what I did with the Reminisce Autumn Forest line.  This is one side only, still working on my 2nd page.  I also added a cute pumpkin paper piecing and some florals.   I also used primas and petaloo.
